WEEK 3 

Introduction to Photoshop:
In this lecture, sir was introduce the basic Photoshop tools to us and gave us some tutorial video to learn.
  • Selection, layering - layer interface.
  • Tool box - expand the tool sets to reveal additional tools.
  • Marquee Selection Tools - select and mask.
  • Lasso tool - draw and pinpoint specific areas of a document.
  • Pen tool -  the fewer points, the smoother a path.
  • Layers - each layer without affecting another one to make adjustments.
Exercise:
This week, we were started our task 2 which was Compositions Digital Collage. Basicaly, we were required to used the given 16 images to combined and collage and came out with a new design. Besides, we needed to done 3 design compositions and chose one of them as the final outcome.

Digital Design 1
  • For the first design, I used the texture image with colorful pattern as the background,then Iput the tall building and the fish on middle as the focal point. After that, I created a water ripples with Eliptical Marquee Tool from a low saturation texture image as the scene of fish coming out of the water. Last, I use many rubber plant images to form a frame on the upper part and lower part as the first layer. 
Digital Design 2
  • In the second design I tried to create a mirror effect using many different sized buildings and reflecting them horizontally as reflections. Additionally, I used the same technique as the first design to create the water ripples and placed the fish above the water ripples to show that the fish just jumped out of the water. Then, I used a liquid texture image to remove the background and used the yellow part of another image to clip a mask on top of it, making it yellow as the texture for the sky.
Digital Design 3
  • I combined the technique and skills from design 1 and 2 to came out my third design. Besides, I made this with modern design (black and white) and add some sense of technology used the tail of the blue fish, then cliping mask on the part of the liquid texture image to present it. For the word "FISH", I used rectangle shape select tool to crop out the rectangle and form the letter.
