REFLECTION
What have I learnt in this module?
Looking back on this module, I've realise how much thought and
structure go into creating a visually compelling artwork. At first,
learning about design principle felt abit technical, but as I
analysized " Launching the Currach," I began to see how the principles work together to tell a story.
What did I enjoy the most?
The most enjoyable part of this module was definitely creating and refining my own artwork.
Seeing an idea start rough sketch and gradually evolve into complete
piece felt rewarding.
What did I not enjoy the most?
On the other hand, the part that not enjoyable was the part of
"improved" the original artwork with design principle in Task 2. It
was challenging that I have no idea about how to "improve" the artwork. So after strugguling a long time, I try to use the elements that
the original artwork contains to create a different work and
experiment with the compositions.
What have I learnt about myself through this module?
But through this, I learned that taking the time
to brainstorm all my ideas helps me create stronger, more intentional design.
What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?
This module has changed
the way I approch design, my design process is now more structured and no longer based on
intuition. However, my passion for creating and designing artwork hasn't changed at all.
What are my aspirations?
Moving foward, I want to improve my storytelling technique
so my work can feel more immersive and meaningful.
